Tomar-Re
Tomar-Re was a member of the galaxy-spanning police force called the Green Lantern Corps. During his career, Tomar became one of the most decorated members of the Corps, becoming a legendary member, and helped mentor and train many members of the Corps. He was good friends with his fellow Lantern Abin Sur, and became friends with Sur's replacement, Hal Jordan.
Though he had previously retired, Tomar-Re helped the Lanterns again during the Crisis on Infinite Earths. He was killed in action by the villain Goldface.
