Doctor Octopus is a long-time foe of Spider-Man - a mad genius with the physical power of his four mechanical arms to go one-on-one with Spidey. Usually he wears a lab coat or frumpy-looking orange and green jumpsuit. But during the 90's, Doc Ock refreshed his image and wore a stylish suit and tie during his villainous activities. He still got his butt kicked, but he looked good while it happened.

The Recipe

Doc Ock is made from a repainted Minimate. His stylish suit jacket is made from a Doc Ock chest with the suit jacket created with MagicSculpt. His hair is made from Sculpey, and his face is a digital printout.

Doc Ock's extra-large mechanical arms are made from a large pile of spare mechanical arms. I cut the pinchers off of the arms, then used a Dremel to drill a small hole into that side. I could then fit multiple arms together using the arm's peg and my newly-created sockets. The arms were repainted in shades of silver for the metallic touch.
