In college, a chance encounter with Iceman and the Beast led young Calvin Rankin to discover he has the ability to absorb and duplicate any super human powers or abilities around him. Dubbing himself the Mimic, he would harass the X-Men until his erratic power would force him into retirement. His power would return, but their instability and his own mental problems would keep him a minor super-hero.

The Recipe

The Mimic is made from a repainted Hawkman Minimate, perfect to give Mimic that big, Beast-like chest. His hands and feet comes from a 2.5" LOTR Minimate to give him that extra beastly feel. His hair made from Sculpey, and his goggles are made from Magic Sculpt. The Mimic's costume decals are made from water-transfer decals, and his face is a digital printout.
