The Prowler

Hobie Brown was a bright kid going nowhere. Angry after being fired from his window washing job, Hobie decided to use the safety equipment he developed for window washing to become a burglar. Then, as Hobie, he could return the stolen items and become a hero. Creating a costume, Hobie went out as the Prowler.

But during his first robbery, the Prowler encountered Spider-Man, who easily defeated him. Spidey convinced Hobie being a villain was a bad idea, and Hobie took it to heart. Over the years, Hobie has helped Spider-Man on occasion, and uses the Prowler identity to occasionally fight crime and work as a mercenary.

The Recipe

The Prowler is made from a repainted Minimate. His face and chest details were made from digital printouts. His claw hands are the smaller claw hands from Carnage Minimates. For the right hand, I cut the thumb off and reattached to its opposing side with Magic Sculpt. His cape was made with Magic Sculpt. His distinctive gas canister bands on his wrists and ankles are made from lots of tiny plastic rods, trimmed down to size, then glued to the Minimate.
