Quick comic history - The Age of Apocalypse was an "alternate reality" storyline that ran through every X-Men-related title for about four months. It's the story about a world that was conquered by evil mutant Apocalypse, and the plucky mutant freedom-fighters working to save humans from his genocidal grasp. It was a pretty decent story, unlike most X-Men comics from the 90's.

In the Age of Apocalypse, Wolverine was known as Weapon X. He left the X-Men to rescue his lover, Jean Grey, and lost his left hand in the process to an evil version of Cyclops.

While not an essential version of Wolverine, it's certainly more interesting than some we've seen (I'm looking at you, civilian Logan...)

The Age of Apocalypse Wolverine is made from a repainted Wolverine minimate. His face and costume details are digital printouts. His left hand-stump is made from Magic Sculpt. His hair is a modified hair piece from the civilian Logan Minimate.
