When John Walker was chosen by the U.S. government to replace Steve Rogers as Captain America, he chose his old Army buddy Lemar Hoskins to serve as his partner. Lemar agreed, and with extensive training, became Battlestar.

After John gave up being Captain America (and became the U.S.Agent), Battlestar quit working for the government. He eventually joined Silver Sable and her band of mercenaries, the Wild Pack. He's still out there somewhere, filling the need for a quasi-patriotic super-strong super hero.

The Recipe

Battlestar is made from a repainted Minimate. He wears a set of Captain America gloves and hair made from Sculpey. His high collar is from a Star Sapphire Minimate. Battlestar's face is a digital printout, and his chest details are from a water-transfer decal. His shield is made from Magic Sculpt and uses the connector from a Cap shield.
