In the 1940's, Johnny Chambers was given a mathematical formula ("3X2(9YZ)4A") that when repeated, allowed users to move at super-human speeds. Johnny pledged to use this power for good, and became the costumed crimefighter Johnny Quick. He later became a member of the wartime All-Star Squadron, where he met his future wife, Liberty Belle.

While their relationship was never smooth, Johnny and Liberty Belle had a daughter, Jesse Quick, who inherited their powers. Johnny and Liberty Belle eventually divorced, and Johnny died heroically saving Jesse's life from speed ninjas.

Johnny Quick is made from a repainted Minimate. He's wearing a set of Captain America gloves, and features Sculpey-made hair. His chest and face are digital printouts.
