Iron Man (Captain America Armor)

Custom Minimate figure Custom Minimate figure

It all started when Marvel released a teaser image for their "Civil War" mini-series featuring Iron Man painted in red, white and blue and holding Captain America's shield. It gained instant attention, and while the armor was never actually seen in "Civil War", the teaser made quite an impact. The armor appeared in a "What If' special and even got a Hasbro action figure. And yet, despite the dozens of Iron Man Minimates released, we've never gotten a Cap Armor. And it's so easy - you just have to repaint the Extremis Iron Man. It's so easy I did it myself! Just look at the pictures!

The Recipe

Captain America Armor Iron Man is made from a repainted Extremis Iron Man. His face and leg details are from water-transfer decals. The Cap shield is a spare Cap shield that I repainted. I attached it to Iron Man's arm by trimming the post from the shield's arm ring and gluing it to Iron Man's glove.
