Daughter of a police detective, Dinah Drake was determined to follow in her dad's footsteps and join the police. But when the police academy rejected her, Dinah took inspiration from the masked vigilantes that were beginning to appear, and became the Black Canary!

The Black Canary was a successful crimefighter and became a member of the Justice Society of America. She eventually married private detective Larry Lance and had a daughter, Dinah, who grew up to become the second Black Canary.

Black Canary was made from a repainted Minimate. Her distinct fishnet stockings were made from netting glued to her legs. Her hair is made from Sculpey. Her jacket comes from a New X-Men Wolverine jacket. Her boot cuffs were made with Magic Sculpt. And her face is a digital printout.
