After surviving a horrible explosion that killed some of the original Doom Patrol, Dr. Niles Caulder went into hiding. He stuck to his research until events caused him to reform a new Doom Patrol. Known as the "Vertigo Era" in the team's history, thiss Chief was generally cranky, caring more about research and chocolate than the welfare of his team. He also heavily relied on guns.

The Chief's face and suit details are digital printouts. His hair and beard is made from Sculpey. The wheelchair comes from a Professor X Minimate, with extra details added with Sculpey and Q-Tips.
