The Straw Man
A mysterious entity from another dimension, the Straw Man is bound to Earth by a painting of a laughing scarecrow. When the Cult of Kalumai tried to destroy the painting, the Straw Man manifested himself on this plane as a scarecrow, mystically strong and invulnerable to physical harm. Never speaking except for his mocking laughter, the Straw Man had strange mystic powers over the weather and nature to enact gruesome revenge on the cultists. With the cult stopped, the Straw Man returned to his painting, leaving the current owner of his painting, writer Jess Duncan, very confused as to what was happening.
