Starman (of 1951)

Custom Minimate figure

During 1951 Ted Knight, the Golden Age Starman, was recovering from his nervous breakdown and was unable to defend Opal City. Suddenly, a new masked Starman stepped in to defend the city. This Starman flew around the city in a star-shaped craft and fought crime with power blasts and super-strength. At the end of 1951, the new Starman disappeared as mysteriously as he appeared.

There's a lot more to the story, but I strongly recommmend that you read the James Robinson "Starman" series to find out. Go find your spoilers somewhere else.

The Recipe

The Starman of 1951 is made from a repainted Minimate. His mask is made from a modified Daredevil mask with a Magic Sculpt fin. His cape and wrist details are also made from Magic Sculpt. The chest details are made from a combination of printouts and water-transfer decals.
